Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure all rotas are in place for hygiene to cover the needs of the site, taking into account peak periods
2. Ensure the specifications are being met on site and that the customer has a full understanding
3. Monitor and review the service standards with the customer
4. Ensure you communicate effectively with your staff regarding the specifications and ensure they are aware of any issues
5. Ensure all audits are completed within the timescales given and review audit results within the timescale agreed with the customer
6. Carry out all legislative food hygiene audits and daily checks
7. Recruitment of hygiene, catering and security staff, welfare management, training and development
8. Check all plant, equipment and machinery on site regularly and report on any defects / repairs required.
9. Hold a clear understanding of Health & Safety legislation and to be proactive in the reduction of onsite accidents
10. Control the hours and stock budget for the site, ensuring to review the spend each week and address issues
11. Maintain an effective working relationship with the retail customer, meet the customer daily and update them with relevant information
12. Ensure that you complete and submit payroll / holiday and sickness forms within the given timescales
13. Work with HR to effectively carry out disciplinaries and grievance hearings
14. Monitor absence levels on site and engage with HR to reduce any ongoing absence issues
15. Identify any training needs for Supervisors and staff
Skills Required
16. A self-motivated manager with a proven track record in operations and administration
17. A proactive manger capable of dealing with site level clients in resolving reactive issues
18. A proven team player with a wealth of operational experience
19. Goal-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities
20. A competent manager with experience of bundled FM services (Security & Cleaning)
21. Proven ability to work in unison with staff, customers, and directors.
22. An organised and highly motivated problem solver
23. A forward thinking and loyal team player who leads from the front.
24. Has the ability to work with all IT systems.
This role is 5 days from 7, 40 hours per week & will include varying shifts including weekends as business needs require.
Ideal candidates will have a strong experience in Cleaning / Facilities and used to managing a large team.
