Senior Physiotherapist - Rotational

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced physiotherapist to join our Band 6 rotational programme at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an established Band 6 looking for a fresh challenge, or a suitably experienced Band 5 ready to take the next step in their career. There are permanent and fixed‑term positions, full‑time and part‑time considered, with Worcestershire Royal Hospital as the official base. Successful candidates will be expected to rotate across all three of our Trust sites including community rotations.

* Medical & surgical respiratory care.
* Orthopaedics
* A&E
* Acute stroke & other neurological conditions
* Neurological outpatients
* Community Neurology
* Frailty
* Oncology
* Pelvic health
* Rheumatology and hydrotherapy
* Paediatrics
You will benefit from regular supervision, in‑service training, to help develop your clinical and leadership skills.
You will be encouraged to engage in ongoing CPD and contribute to the education and supervision of junior staff.
There is the requirement to participate in our on‑call service, as well as weekend and 7‑day working rotas, depending on the rotation.
Main duties of the job
* Working as an autonomous practitioner, to provide high quality patient‑focused care through assessment, diagnosis, development and delivery of individual treatment programmes.
* To take responsibility for own caseload within a defined area of service or for a particular patient type.
* To provide supervision, support and education to qualified and unqualified staff and students.
* To participate in departmental audit in support of evidence‑based practice.
* To communicate with the MDT as appropriate to provide comprehensive assessment to determine admission prevention as appropriate to given speciality.
* To undertake outpatient activity as appropriate within area of speciality.
* To contribute to our 7‑day service on a rota basis dependant on specialty of work.
* To complete on call over a 24‑hr period / complete weekend working as appropriate to speciality.

Person Specification
Experience
* Appropriate and broad experience in core rotations
* (can demonstrate a broad range of knowledge from different specialities)
* Experience of working in an acute NHS environment
* Evidence of relevant and recent CPD
* Supervision and development of assistants and students
* Training of other MDT members
* Active participation in audit or research
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in physiotherapy
* Member of CSP

Other job requirements
* Able and willing to commute between sites
* Able and willing to work across 7 days and take part in on call duties through a 24 hour period
