We currently have an exciting new opportunity to joinour CommercialTeam as a Direct Line Van Product Manager. This is a permanent and full-time position, that can be based from our London, Leeds or Bristol office (hybrid working).
What you'll be doing
Commercial Direct are on a mission to create and capture the direct commercial market by putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for helping to deliver business objectives through product management, analysis of customer and market insight, and identifying opportunities to improve trading performance.
1. You will work alongside the Head of Products to align overall insurance vision and strategy with specific product missions and manage delivery of outcomes for Commercial Direct insurance products.
2. Leading project delivery, managing trades-offs between customer and commercial outcomes and strategies.
3. You will work alongside stakeholders to identify areas for growth and build future product roadmaps aligned to the Commercial Direct growth plans.
4. Leading Change team input into trading meetings with matrix managed stakeholders to articulate opportunities and potential risks.
5. Actively seeking out and bringing the ‘voice of the customer’ into all activities.
6. Identifying and driving development opportunities in line with consumer demand and overall Commercial Direct strategy.
7. Developing test & learn initiatives to improve product performance.
8. Ensuring the product adapts in line with shifts in consumer behaviour and market forces
9. Working with key internal stakeholders to drive alignment with key internal interfacessitting outside of the team (Operations / Claims / CustomerCoE)
10. Leading on engagement with external business partners creating strong relationships and effective dialogue to drive agreed outcomes.
11. Building deep understanding of regulatory landscape and identifying implications on business models, products and processes.
What we're looking for
12. Business and financial acumen gained from relevant experience in a similar role.
13. A deep understanding of the insurance sector including the consumer, competitor and regulatory landscape.
14. Ability to gather and synthesise information from a broad range of customer,market and competitor sources to build a rich, robust information base about thewider business context and use this insight to drive idea generation and execution.
15. Skilled at developing key relationships with both internal and externalstakeholders to maximise support for the business.
16. Experience of managing financial aspects such as budgeting, planning, commercial trading and producing business cases.
17. Ability to manage complex trades-offs between customer and commercial outcomes and strategy
