HR Advisor – Retail
Join us in shaping a vibrant retail culture where beauty and inclusivity meet daily. You will support store teams as the first point of contact for all HR‑related queries, ensuring compliance with UK policies and fostering a high‑performing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
* Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, employee files, and HRIS data.
* Prepare HR reports and metrics on absence, turnover, ER cases, and other KPIs.
* Update policies, procedures, and contracts to stay UK employment‑law compliant.
* Support the annual review of the employee handbook and store SOPs.
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the cast‑member experience.
* Contribute to engagement surveys, retention initiatives, and system improvements.
* Support onboarding for all cast members with Store Management.
* Provide on‑time and accurate payroll support, aligned with payroll procedures.
* Conduct audits of employee files to ensure data is up to date and compliant.
* Audit payroll processing with Talent Team to verify compliance.
Employee Relations (ER)
* Provide first‑line advice to retail managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
* Help managers resolve issues informally where appropriate and promote best practice.
* Maintain case files and assist monthly reporting for the ER Manager and Retail HRBPs.
* Lead note‑taking for ER cases across the Retail sector.
* Conduct investigations in line with company policies.
* Maintain accurate and confidential ER case records.
Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion
* Champion wellbeing initiatives, supporting physical and mental health awareness and projects.
* Support roll‑out of D&I strategies and training to all Beauty Advisors and Management.
* Provide first‑line support for cast members seeking advice on wellbeing, flexible working, or adjustments.
* Drive internal communications (We Are Sephora) across retail teams using direct and ambassador channels.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
* Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, brand‑driven retail environment.
* Good knowledge of UK employment law, relevant legislation, and employee relations best practice.
* Committed team player with a collaborative mindset to support our teams and the HR Team.
* Experience in data‑driven decision making to support project growth and operational excellence.
* Advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and HR software.
* Hands‑on attitude with flexibility and adaptability.
* Resilience and an agile approach to changing demands.
