Overview As a Business Analyst in the Energy and Water Utilities sector, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement across business processes, systems, and services. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver strategic and operational change, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities Work with client partners and account directors of specific utilities to identify opportunities and deliver Work with the delivery teams to identify gaps in process, technology and applications Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements to manage these gaps Analyse current processes and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Lead business process analysis and recommend strategic solutions. Support the delivery of change initiatives across people, process, and technology. Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive consensus and clarity. Work within Agile and Waterfall project environments. Prepare business cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Support testing, implementation, and post-deployment reviews. Contribute to regulatory submissions (e.g., WRMP, PR24). Support sustainability and digital transformation initiatives. Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental goals Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in business analysis within the energy, water, or utilities sector for at least 3-4 years in the UK Strong understanding of operational technology (OT) and digital systems. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to simplify complex technical and business concepts Desirable Qualifications BCS Business Analysis Certification or equivalent. Product Owner/Scrum Master certifications. Experience with data analytics, GIS, or asset management platforms. Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks (Ofwat, Ofgem).
