The Role
My client, a well-established contractor has been appointed to a new 8-year Framework with Thames Water and require a Contracts Manager to oversee these projects.
Here are some of the activities that you’ll get involved with
1. Formulate and embed operational processes and improvements
2. Promote best practice and a ‘right first time’ culture
3. Lead and inspire your team to continually drive compliance, improve performance, and maximise profitability
4. Ownership and management of local budgets to ensure delivery of business plan in-line with affordability
5. Highlight financial risks and variances, ensuring mitigation is in place where appropriate
6. Implement and maintain processes, resources, systems, and employees across the alliance, to achieve strategic objectives and priorities
7. Support your senior reports to maximise organisation, production, and management of CDM onsite
8. Effectively plan and control labour, plant, and resources
9. Foster excellent working relationships with clients, partners, customers, and teams
Previous experience in mains renewal is essential.
You will need to be innovative, inspiring, and commercially minded leader, with extensive knowledge and experience of developing high performing teams.
You will have a broad understanding of the regulatory and operating environment in the water industry specifically within the delivery of capital programmes.
Exceptional communication skills, with the charisma to deliver key messages to a variety of stakeholders is a pre-requisite.
