Role: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid / Oxford OR Southampton
Rate: £450 per day (inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months
Key Skills: Cisco routers and switches, CCNP, Ticket management, clean and current UK driving license, **eligibility for SC clearance is essential for this role - see note**
(useful to have as many of the following: SD-WAN migrations, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Solarwinds, Ivanti Pulse etc.)
Our Client: Public Sector / Government organisation
The Role: To respond swiftly and efficiently to support Network Connectivity operations across network infrastructure and voice comms.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* 5+ years' experience in network administrator and engineering up to and including senior Network engineering roles.
* Ability to articulate technical designs and principles
* Detailed understanding of Networking protocols and standards.
* Must have capability to travel to different locations across sites between Oxford and Southampton.
* Hands on engineering experience with the ability to demonstrate ticket management, prioritisation, change management, project delivery and working with large scale service providers
* A current or recently (within last two years) expired CCNP (or higher) qualification
* Experience of SD-WAN migrations (preferred but not essential)
* Hands on experience of Fortinet products (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent communication skills to be able to articulate technical designs and principles to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Clean and current UK driving license
* Eligibility for the necessary security clearance is essential (see below)
