As a Transport Operator, you'll be helping maintain the smooth, efficient running of our distribution network, ensuring productivity targets, agreed key customer service levels and KPIs are achieved within budget. You’ll help manage the general transport office and support Partners within the Transport teams. When the Transport Section Manager is off duty, you’ll deputise in their absence.

Responsible for managing Partnership and agency Drivers over 24 hours a day, 7 days a week transport operations. Maintaining full compliance under current EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive. Ensuring achievement of productivity targets, agree key customer service levels and key performance indicators within cost targets. To deputise for the Transport Section Manager in their absence.
Ensuring the health & safety of all those working in the transport team is top priority and the appropriate procedures are adhered to.
To brief and debrief Partnership and agency drivers at the start and end of their shift
Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
Ensuring the operation and those working in it remain fully compliant under EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
Effectively manage department resource and optimise the use of establishment hours, encouraging Partner flexibility to deliver efficient delivery of the Transport operation
Previous Supply Chain experience
Previous transport experience
Familiar with transport planning and execution system preferably Microlise or Paragon
Familiar with transport compliance software particularly FTA vision
Familiarity with fleet management software particularly JAMA
