Location: Royal Stoke University Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Contract Type: Full-time / 6-month fixed term (with a view to extend)

Are you an experienced and motivated doctor with a passion for breast surgery? We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery to join our dynamic and expanding team at Royal Stoke University Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
This is a 6-month fixed-term position with a view to extend, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their experience in a supportive and progressive surgical unit.
About the Role
As a Specialty Doctor in Breast Surgery, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, including involvement in advanced surgical techniques, oncoplastic procedures, and participation in teaching and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for breast surgery patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and surgical management
Support consultants in elective and emergency surgical procedures
Participate in outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings
Engage in audit, quality improvement, and educational activities
Supervise and support junior medical staff
What We’re Looking For
GMC registration with a license to practice
Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience, including at least 2 years in breast or general surgery
Demonstrated interest or further training in breast surgery, including oncoplastic techniques (desirable)
Excellent communication and team-working skills
Commitment to continuous professional development
