Graduate Structural Engineer

Overview
This is a great opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic graduate structural engineer to join a successful, well established, civil and structural design practice near Torquay.
Responsibilities
* Work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health
* Work with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering
* Liaise and co-ordinate with infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers
* Be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project management
* Produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
* Prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS Standards and Approved Codes of Practice
* Assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design process
* Liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
* Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings
Qualifications
* Relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
* 12 months experience working in an engineering environment
* Enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player with good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong work ethic and ability to work under own initiative
* A working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD
