Senior Account Manager (India Region).
About the Role:
The Senior Account Manager will oversee the assigned territory or named accounts within the India region and report directly to the Sales Director. This role demands an individual who is adept at managing current business and expanding the company's footprint against competitors.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Business Acquisition & Management: Focus on acquiring new business while managing and expanding existing accounts to ensure growth against competition.
2. Sales Targets: Meet and exceed Orders & Revenue targets.
3. Business Pipeline & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline; provide accurate forecasts to management.
4. Strategic Planning: Identify growth opportunities, analyze competition, and collaborate with marketing, Product Specialists, and lead generation teams for Demand Generation activities.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with support teams to identify and develop new business within accounts.
6. Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates, strategic plans, and campaign progress; support reporting processes.
7. Continuous Learning: Enhance selling skills and understand customer problems to offer effective solutions.
8. Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers, becoming a trusted advisor.
9. Policy Compliance: Adhere to AVEVA’s policies and communication standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. 14+ years’ experience in direct sales, account management, preferably selling software solutions in Chemicals, Pharma, Power, Water utilities, manufacturing, transportation, EPCs, or Design consulting, with long sales cycles.
2. Self-motivated with goal-setting drive.
3. Ability to learn quickly and achieve early wins.
4. Assertive sales skills at C-Level and management levels.
5. Market analytical skills.
6. Strong customer acumen and gravitas.
7. Effective account planning and success delivery.
8. Cross-cultural experience; excellent communication skills.
9. Ability to engage at all organizational levels.
10. Degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or relevant industry experience.
