Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and supportive team within a Community Equipment Service based in Theale, close to Reading. This is a hands-on, varied role that involves stock control, equipment preparation, and occasional support with deliveries and collections. You will play a vital role in ensuring essential equipment is available to support vulnerable individuals across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Process and close down previous day's collection orders
* Scan, label, and store recycled stock using warehouse racking systems
* Receive and log incoming deliveries against purchase orders
* Pick, label, and prepare stock for dispatch
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
* Log special orders and liaise with the call centre team
* Perform basic equipment repairs and decontamination in line with MHRA guidelines
* Complete accurate documentation and report issues to supervisors
* Support with rolling and annual stock audits
* Occasionally assist with deliveries and collections (if driving licence held)
Candidate Profile
Skills and Attributes:
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Positive, flexible, and proactive approach
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
Experience and Knowledge:
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role (preferred)
* Experience with decontamination processes (a plus)
Qualifications:
* GCSE-level education or equivalent (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence (highly desirable to support technician duties)
