We’re currently recruiting an ambitious Chef Manager to help us create exceptional food experiences on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for both the culinary offer and the day-to-day management of the catering operation, delivering an outstanding food and service experience. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Preparing and delivering delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
* Managing and leading the kitchen and catering team, creating a positive and supportive working environment
* Identifying opportunities to improve food quality, service delivery and operational efficiency
* Delivering our food concepts and standards consistently
* Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
* Managing ordering, stock control and minimising food waste
* Overseeing kitchen cleaning and ensuring excellent hygiene standards are maintained
* Managing budgets, controlling costs and meeting financial targets
* Ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
* Supporting recruitment, training and development of team members
Our Ideal Chef Manager Will
* Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent qualification
* Have experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering management role
* Be a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team
* Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
* Be commercially aware with strong financial and cost control skills
* Strive for excellence with an enthusiastic and proactive approach
* Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers and clients
* Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, reliability and organisational skills
* Have a safety-first mindset
* Be passionate about food and service
