Your Scope
Ardo serves its clients in the Retail, Food Service, and Industry segments. To support our global activities and colleagues our international IT Infrastructure team offers a 24/7 high quality service. We are looking for a proactive IT SupportEngineer (in Ashford, UK) to help provide first-line, second line and on-site technical support across the company, including factories and offices. In this role you are part of an international team of 17 Support and System Engineers, reporting to the Group IT Infrastructure Manager, and operating from our factory office in Ashford.
Your role in the team:
3. You will resolve incident and change request tickets, using your experience and broadening your expertise by collaborating with your team members.
4. You will identify, analyze, and resolve IT issues, ensuring clear documentation and accurate records of all actions.
5. You will communicate effectively and maintain close contact with internal and external parties involved.
6. Analyze recurring incidents and share insights for improvement.
7. Propose and implement improvements and innovations, collaborating with colleagues on optimizations (e.g., creating scripts, upgrading software/hardware).
8. You will collaborate with expert colleagues to solve complex issues and to continuously expand your knowledge.
9. You will manage resources effectively to enhance the user experience.
10. You will contribute to and take the lead in operational and project assignments related to setting up, expanding, and improving our IT services.
Your talent
11. §You have a broad IT knowledge based on experience both in hardware and software as well as in networking. Thus, you are familiar with:
o Microsoft operating systems, back office, and application software;
o collaboration tools (Office 365, Teams…);
o management software (Active Directory, SCCM, O365, SOTI MobiControl);
o office and factory devices (Forklift terminals, Handheld scanners, (Label)printers).
12. You preferably have experience with a service desk methodology like ITIL.
13. You have strong communication skills in English.
14. You hold a valid driving license.
15. You are willing to rotate in a stand-by duty and occasionally travel to nearby sites.
16. You are a skilled problem-solver with a focus on fast, effective solutions.
17. You work accurately, delivering high-quality service.
18. You have strong organizational, time management and priority-setting abilities.
19. Above all, you are stress-resistant and self-reliant with a customer-first mindset and a high team spirit.
