Your responsibilities
* Accepting clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents, organising this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time, and supporting junior therapists in this process.
* Formulating and delivering an individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programme based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice and treatment options. Employ advanced clinical assessment, knowledge, and reasoning skills to provide treatment using a broad range of techniques and alternative options.
* Taking responsibility and overseeing the clinical OT supervision, education, and performance of junior therapy staff, students (when present), and therapy assistants. Undertake supervision and appraisals, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
To be a successful Specialist Occupational Therapist you will need:
* Occupational Therapy profession qualification
* Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs
* Extensive experience applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
* Evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills
* Highly specialist knowledge of assessment and treatment models

You will work at Badby Park, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain, and spinal cord injuries. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred services tailored to individuals' needs, within extensive facilities catering to those over 18 with complex neurological care requirements.
