Ready to make a real difference in a student’s day?
If you’re the sort of person who can spot when a young person needs a little extra help (and you’re the one they want to talk to), keep reading.
We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly, diverse secondary school community in North Bristol. It’s a maternity cover role from September 2025, supporting students to shine—whether that’s with reading, numbers, social skills or simply finding their feet in busy classrooms.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting students one-to-one or in small groups—especially with literacy and numeracy
* Helping with social skills, speech and language, and mental health support
* Working alongside teachers in class to make sure everyone can access learning
* Supporting positive behaviour and helping students stay engaged and on track
Who this would suit:
* Maybe you’re a graduate thinking about a career in teaching, psychology, or social work
* Or you’re an experienced LSA ready for a new challenge
* You’re calm, patient and know how to balance listening with keeping good behaviour in check
* You’re confident with Maths and English, and bonus points if you can speak a community language too
Why you’ll love it here:
* A warm, happy place to learn and work
* Students who value their staff and know you’re rooting for them
* Loads of CPD and support to help you grow your skills
* Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella companies, ever
* Award-winning staff wellbeing and a friendly consultant on hand whenever you need
