Role: FLT / Forklift Truck Driver
Role summary:
We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Driver (Bendi / Flexi / Pivot Licence). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment, ensuring smooth materials handling to support ongoing operations.
Multiple shifts available:
* FLT Counterbalance (6am – 2pm), Monday to Friday
* FLT Counterbalance (2pm – 10pm), Monday to Friday
* FLT Bendi / Flexi / Pivot (6am – 2pm), Monday to Friday
* FLT Bendi / Flexi / Pivot (2pm – 10pm), Monday to Friday
All positions above are on 12-week temp to perm basis’, based on performance and attendance within the first 12 weeks of the contract.
Immediate starts available for suitable and qualified applicants
* Pay: £468.75 per week (matching permanent employees, subject to tax and NI), based on a 37.5 hour working week
* Location: Leyland, Lancashire.
* Term: 12-week temp to perm (based on performance and attendance)
* Pay frequency: Weekly pay for the previous weeks worked hours
These roles are set shift patterns in addition to roles advertised and filled previously.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate relevant Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
* Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
* Move stock to designated storage areas and organise inventory within the warehouse.
* Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
* Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
* Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
* Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
* Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Carry out general warehouse duties, alongside FLT driving
Key requirements:
* Forklift experience, inhouse or external (RTITB, ITSAAR or BRITTOp desirable) within the past 3 years (proof of certification / operator card / refresher required).
* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
