Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + company car/fuel/benefits

Overview: Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects. Focus on maximizing profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and proactive management of commercial issues. Oversee applications, valuations, payments, and align activities with company policies. Play a pivotal role in guiding commercial strategy and project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximize profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Lead contract preparation, negotiation, variations, and ensure obligations are met, minimizing legal risks.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Oversee procurement, evaluate bids, select subcontractors, and ensure value for money.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, and prepare final accounts. Ensure accurate financial reporting and risk/opportunity identification.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks to safeguard the company's interests.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in social housing or maintenance
* Proven senior-level responsibility with high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
* Advanced contract law, building regulations, health & safety knowledge
* Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
* IT proficiency and ability to work under pressure
