Purpose of the Role
To deliver outstanding sales and customer service support via online platforms, email, telephone, and fax, ensuring the effective promotion and sale of the company’s product range while maintaining accurate order processing and platform administration.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Provide a courteous, professional, and customer-focused service at all times.
- Process customer orders and enquiries received via the internet, email, telephone, and fax.
- Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately, including any special delivery instructions.
- Meet daily targets for order processing volumes.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the product range.
- Identify and report any issues, complaints, or changes in buying patterns to the E-Commerce Manager.
- Uphold procedures relating to credit control, deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Proactively engage with potential customers to generate new business opportunities.
E-Commerce Platform Administration
- Maintain accurate records and data on the internal and online ordering systems.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of the online customer experience.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Strong administrative and sales background with a proven track record.
- Proficient in the use of computers and standard office software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines effectively.
Desirable
- Interest in food and current food trends.
