Job Title: Pub SupervisorOverview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pub Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily operations, lead staff during shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and help maintain the smooth running of the pub. This role requires strong leadership, great communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Shift Leadership: Oversee the pub floor during shifts, ensuring smooth service and acting as the main point of contact for staff and customers.
* Team Support: Assist with training, coaching, and supervising bar and floor staff to maintain high service standards.
* Customer Service: Provide outstanding hospitality, handle customer queries or complaints professionally, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
* Bar Operations: Support staff with bar work, including serving drinks, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring proper product rotation.
* Cash Handling: Manage tills, complete cash-up procedures, and ensure financial accuracy at the end of shifts.
* Health & Safety: Uphold licensing laws, food safety standards, and all health and safety regulations.
* Cleanliness & Presentation: Ensure the pub, bar area, and facilities are clean, safe, and well-presented at all times.
* Opening & Closing: Assist with opening and closing duties, including security checks and preparing the pub for service.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a pub, bar, or hospitality environment (supervisory experience preferred).
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues effectively.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Basic understanding of cash handling and stock control.
* A positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.
* Personal Licence Holder qualification is an advantage but not essential.
