We are looking an enthusiastic band 5 nurse to join our team of cardiovascular research nurses working within the Cardiorespiratory Clinical Research Facility at Royal Brompton hospital. The Post will be a one year Secondment.
Main duties of the job
You will join a team supporting research studies in a range of cardiovascular conditions including heart failure, valvular disease, cardiac arrhythmia's, and inherited cardiac conditions..
You will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have a flexible approach to the position. You will be based at our Royal Brompton Hospital site, but the post may also involve some work at our other hospital sites in London (Harefield, St Thomas', Guy's hospitals). Previous experience of working within a cardiology setting would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided where necessary.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key activities include, supporting the research teams with screening and recruitment of eligible patients, consenting patients for research studies, performing clinical observations on trial patients, collection and processing of samples, data collection and data recording using a variety of IT systems.
