Finance Manager – Specialist Lending

Are you a qualified accountant ready to take a pivotal role in a fast-growing specialist lending business? We're seeking a Finance Manager to join our dynamic financial control team, driving reporting excellence, robust controls, and innovative process improvements across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role with broad exposure; from monthly accounting and statutory reporting, offering the chance to make a real impact and work collaboratively with diverse teams across the business.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you'll be a key pillar in our financial control environment. You'll work closely with FP&A, Treasury, and our newly established Finance Change team to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-End Reporting: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting with precision and insight.
* Financial Control: Prepare Statutory Accounts, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and mitigate P&L risks.
* Audit Oversight: Partner with the Financial Controller to lead audits, ensuring reporting is accurate, efficient, and compliant.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation, leveraging tools such as Alteryx and SAP to streamline reporting and enhance controls.
* Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the primary finance contact for Treasury, Tax, Operations, and other key teams, influencing decision-making across the business.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a detail-oriented, technically strong finance professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1–3 years PQE or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end processes, and reporting.
* Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large, complex datasets; familiarity with Alteryx or SAP is a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and driving process improvements.
