NHS Borders Outpatient Department currently deliver clinics to 26 specialties over 3 outpatient areas within Borders General Hospital. A vacancy has arisen within our Outpatient Department for an experiences band 3 various hours.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Worker (band 3) to join our established nursing team. You would be responsible in delivering unsupervised safe and effective care in an out-patient setting. The successful candidate will work closely supporting Consultants and Specialist Nurses with clinical and non-clinical practice.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
