About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our one of our clients manufacturing teams. This role involves setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, or both)
* Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
* Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
* Perform machine setup adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections
* Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
* Carry out routine maintenance and report any faults or issues
* Work to production targets and deadlines
Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
* Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
* Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar control systems (preferred)
* Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to work shifts if required
Desirable Skills
* CNC programming experience (advantageous but not essential)
* Experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures
Working Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week with opportunities for overtime
