Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our new team in providing exceptional care within our two-bedroom residential home in Corby. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care home management, with experience in Autism and learning disability. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing our new home. Duties will include supervising staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of care for the young people within our service. Responsibilities: Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted's regulatory standards. Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to young people, including those with Autism and complex needs. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each young person's requirements. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions as required. Foster a positive environment that promotes the young person's well-being and dignity. Conduct regular assessments of care practices and make necessary adjustments to improve service delivery. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for young people. Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role due to occasional travel requirements. Qualifications: Previous experience in a senior care environment, preferably within a Children's home or similar setting. Clear understanding of Ofsted Care standards. Proven ability to manage and supervise staff effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans based on individual needs. Relevant qualifications in health and social care are desirable. A compassionate approach towards individuals and their families.
