We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager or Business Partner to join our Consulting line of business on a part-time basis, to steer how the department will be growing in future. This includes being responsible for the reporting of the financial position at month end for both actuals and forecast, to the Director of Consulting and collaborating with other business managers to produce the budget.
This part-time, hybrid role will be predominantly based from home with two days a week working from home and only one day a week based from our recently refurbished, modern office setting in Leeds or Manchester.
What you'll be doing:
1. Supporting the growth of the Consulting sector, according to NHS SBS strategic business plan
2. Produce the sector's month end financial documents
3. Processing financial transactions on Oracle and record accounting transactions in line with local and group policies
4. Have a continuous focus on improving processes within F&A
5. Perform checks, reviews and reconciliations to make sure the integrity of ledgers and sub-ledgers
What you’ll bring:
6. Previous experience as a Finance Manager/ Finance Business Partner
7. A passion and enthusiasm for growing your area of the business and driving the NHS forward
8. Strong MS Excel skills to produce MI and present to senior management
9. An understanding of ERP systems, as well as accounting & internal control environments
10. The knowledge to interpret accounting standards & policies and produce compliant financial reports
11. A confident communication style, flexible enough to communicate complicated financial issues to non-finance people
It would be great if you had:
12. A degree or equivalent experience in finance
13. Recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
