More about your role In this role you will be taking an active role in the overall management of our contractor supply chain – working from within our Contractor Management Team. Our contractors are pivotal to the successful delivery of the maintenance services for our customers. Your experience and skillset will be well aligned with traditional commercial management and Quantity Surveying elements. Indeed, experience of working in a fast-paced repairs and maintenance environment will be a must for this role. We are expecting the successful additions to our team to bring strong project, programme, contract, safety, cost and change management skills, demonstrating commercial acumen and a proven ability to manage contractor performance, quality, and cost. Essential Criteria Strong knowledge of SOR and NHF frameworks Experience in responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance Skilled in cost validation, valuation, and final accounts Understanding of JCT contract law Familiar with SFS, NEC, and Kirona systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, cost modelling) Experience with financial reporting and BI dashboards Able to interpret contractor data (costs, performance, trends) Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills Commercially aware with strategic thinking and attention to detail More About you You will have proven experience in operational improvement, operational support, and field operations, with strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and inform decisions. You will demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities and experience in performance management and delivering initiatives that enhance the customer experience. Familiarity with continuous improvement principles is essential. Ideally, you will also bring experience in the housing, public, or not-for-profit sector, knowledge of UK housing regulations and compliance frameworks, a project management qualification, and an understanding of customer experience and service design principles.
