We are seeking a strong Full-Stack Java Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering team focused on modernising legacy enterprise systems and building AI-driven automation solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, system modernisation, and generative AI, helping transform complex legacy business logic into scalable, intelligent, cloud-ready services.
Legacy Modernisation
* Analyse and deconstruct legacy business logic, workflows, and rule sets (primarily Oracle/PL-SQL based)
* Translate legacy logic into modern Java-based microservices and APIs
* Document functional logic, interface mappings, and transformation rules
* Support system replacement and application modernisation initiatives
Full-Stack Development
* Design and build scalable Java (Spring Boot) microservices and REST APIs
* Develop clean, maintainable, and well-structured backend services
* Integrate with Oracle or modern relational databases
* Contribute to frontend components where required (full-stack capability)
* Develop and integrate LLM-powered AI agents to support:
* Business rule analysis
* Workflow mapping and validation
* Automated code scaffolding and documentation
* Experiment with AI tools (e.g., LLM APIs, agent frameworks) to accelerate system modernisation
* Build automation workflows for decision logic and exception handling
* Work closely with architects, SMEs, and product owners to ensure functional accuracy
* Translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Support iterative delivery in agile environments
* Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and well-documented
* Strong hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs)
* Solid understanding of Oracle SQL / PL-SQL
* Experience working with legacy systems and business logic transformation
* Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience with AI / LLMs / Generative AI / prompt engineering
* Exposure to agent-based architectures or workflow automation
* Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud platforms
* Experience in system modernisation or migration projects
* Frontend experience (React / Angular) is a plus
