An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a large Local Authority into the South West of England.
Responsibilities
* Lead on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting.
* Provide expert financial advice to senior leaders, driving performance and value for money.
* Manage and develop a team of accountants.
* Oversee treasury management, capital strategy, risk, and insurance.
Qualifications
* A qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Skilled at influencing and advising at senior level.
* Experienced in managing large budgets and financial systems.
* A strong leader who can motivate and develop teams.
