Health & Safety Advisor – North
Location: Bradford, Hybrid with travel to schemes and other offices as required.
Salary: £40,316 per annum (including car allowance). Additional car user allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.
Employment Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.
About the role
As our Health & Safety Advisor for the North, you will support and improve colleague safety, ensuring the health and safety management system meets legal requirements and risk controls are effective. You will deliver safety training programmes, advise colleagues, audit the system regularly to monitor performance, investigate incidents, and provide responsive service on Health & Safety matters.
Responsibilities
* Deliver colleague safety training programmes.
* Support and advise colleagues on health and safety matters.
* Audit the health and safety management system on schedule, monitor and analyse performance.
* Investigate accidents and incidents.
* Advise colleagues and customers on health & safety matters.
* Drive changes to policies and procedures to deliver first‑class service.
About you – Essential qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Deep understanding and experience of current UK health & safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in internal auditing or auditing across health & safety fields.
* Strong appreciation of safety concerns in housing.
* Driven, inquisitive, accountable, open and honest, taking ownership from start to finish.
* Exceptional relationship building skills to engage stakeholders.
Desirables
* Experience within the housing sector.
* Customer‑focused mindset.
* Familiarity with health & safety management systems.
