Electronics support technician

Important: Due to the level of security clearance required, all applicants must be eligible to obtain UKEYES ONLY clearance, and therefore be a Sole UK National. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain SC / DV level security clearance.

Working: This role is full time office based with possible flexible working hours and potential for a compressed working week. The team currently work Monday-Thursday

Overview

As an Electronics Support Technician, you will work as part of a small team supporting the fault diagnosis/ repair, build and refurbishment of electro-optical and electronic equipment.


The Electronics Support Technician covers electro-optical and electronic equipment, and associated test equipment, tools and support equipment, as required.


Main responsibilities:
1. Fault diagnosis and repair of the Optical and electronic equipment to meet turnaround times and quality levels.
2. Fault diagnosis and repair of supporting equipment covering, to meet turnaround times and quality levels.
3. Provision of a technical query answering service to customers including out-of-hours coverage where contracted for.
4. Recording work on the Company failure reporting system(s) to ensure a full audit trail is available for long-term trend analysis.
