HGV Class 2 Driver – Widnes, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent night rates of pay, consistent Sunday to Thursday shifts, and long-term stability with a leading company in the industry. Shifts • Sunday – Thursday • Start times between 18:00 and 21:00 Rates of Pay • £19.79 per hour (standard hours) • £27.79 per hour (overtime paid after 42 hours) Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Ongoing, long-term position with a leading logistics provider • Competitive rates of pay • Weekly pay • First-day assessment and training provided as required • Ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently on Sunday to Thursday night shifts • Completing between 5–12 product deliveries to various stores across the UK each shift • Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures and are safe and secure throughout transit • Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering into stores • Completing all required paperwork accurately Essential Skills As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • Minimum of 24 months' experience driving Category C vehicles • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99) • No major endorsement codes • Strong customer service skills Desirable Experience • Multi-drop store delivery experience Training Provided • First-day driving assessment • Training provided as and when required • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply If you are ready to take on this opportunity, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information.
