Position: Operational Improvement Specialist
Location: Peterborough, East of England Showgound
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (09:00-17:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Please note: We are planning a site re-location from the East of England Showground to a new site location within 10 miles from the current site

We are seeking an Operational Improvement Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing performance, optimising workflows, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across our Finished Vehicle Solutions operation. In this role, you will use your analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills, and collaborative approach to identify opportunities, lead improvement initiatives, and support our teams in delivering safer, more efficient, and higher‑quality outcomes.
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
* Collect, analyse, and present operational performance data, including productivity, rework, defect rates, and turnaround times
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People workstreams
* Maintain, review, and update site processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and associated documentation
* Support internal and external audits, including QSA activities, and contribute to preparation for external ISO certifications
* Assist in communicating CI initiatives, promoting best practice, and driving engagement across the site
* Champion and embed a continuous improvement culture across teams
* Coordinate and manage change implementation and site-wide change rollouts
* Work with frontline teams to gather improvement ideas and feedback
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
* Previous Continuous Improvement and change implementations experience
* Experience working with WMS/TMS systems, Management booking systems
* Internal and external audit experience would be desirable
* Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
* Health and Safety and Quality knowledge and experience
* Project management
* Knowledge of Work Instructions, SOP's and process flows
