Job Title: CAD & 3D Modelling Designer – Golf Course Construction Location: Warrington Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Role: Permanent, Full-time Overview We are recruiting a CAD & 3D Modelling Designer to support the delivery of specialist golf course construction and landshaping projects across the UK. This is a contractor-side technical role focused on producing buildable earthworks designs and survey-ready 3D terrain models – not just traditional 2D drawings. You’ll be directly involved in turning high-level design concepts into practical, construction-ready information used on live projects. Working closely with golf course architects, engineers, surveyors and site teams, you will help create: Accurate 3D earthworks models Survey-grade setting-out data for machine control Planning and presentation drawings Fully coordinated construction information that works in real-world conditionsThis is a rare opportunity to see your technical work come to life on high-profile golf course developments across the country. The Role As a CAD & 3D Modelling Designer, you will play a key role in translating design intent into deliverable construction information. Earthworks Design & 3D Modelling Produce detailed 3D earthworks models for golf course projects Model greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and shaping areas Generate accurate cut and fill volumes and surface comparisons Create survey-ready 3D models and GPS machine control data Update models to reflect site conditions and approved design changesCAD Drawings & Visual Outputs Produce high-quality 2D drawings using AutoCAD for planning, tender and construction packs Create layout plans, sections, profiles and level drawings Maintain drawing registers and revision control in line with QA proceduresCoordination & Construction Support Work closely with architects to convert design concepts into buildable models Liaise with surveyors, site managers, engineers and machine operators Support technical queries, RFIs and on-site problem-solving Produce as-built models and updated construction informationHealth, Safety & Compliance Support Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015 Ensure designs consider safe construction sequencing and access Follow company QA, environmental and H&S requirementsAbout You Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience producing earthworks designs and 3D models for construction projects Strong working knowledge of LSS, Civil 3D, or similar civil modelling software Understanding of earthworks, levels, tolerances and construction methodology Ability to generate accurate volumes and survey-grade 3D outputs Practical, construction-minded approach with strong problem-solving skillsImportant: Experience using AutoCAD alone is not sufficient, this role requires hands-on civil/earthworks modelling expertise.
