Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support tailored to their specific needs.
Immediate Start, Needs to have an up to date DBS, Right to Work, Up to date Care Certificates (If no up to date DBS, we can conduct one and if no up to date Care Certificates, we can offer up to date training).
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
* Provide patient care and support for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
* Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary requirements
* Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being
* Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social outings
* Support behaviour management strategies for clients with challenging behaviours
* Conduct first aid procedures when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all clients
Experience
* Previous experience in caregiving roles such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable
* Familiarity with assisted living facilities or nursing home environments is beneficial
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care techniques is an asset
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation responsibilities
