Electrical Technician The key duties of the post are as follows: • To participate in the construction, conditioning, testing, installation and commissioning of vacuum systems. • To work within a team to install, test and commission the vacuum system. This will include working on all electrical aspects of the vacuum instrumentation including racks and field equipment such as controllers, valves, gauges and pumps. • To undertake the testing, fault finding and repair of above systems including component repair. • General technician work including electrical cabling, specialist connector assembly, build of simple electronic devices and some mechanical assembly. This will include soldering and crimping. All work to be completed to a high standard. • Electrical vacuum equipment inspection, testing, handling and inventory checking. • Ensure that all work is carried out safely and using the correct processes. Carrying out regular safety inspections. Use of appropriate PPE equipment as required. • To utilise effectively the quality control and quality procedures of the project. • To work within a clean room environment (ISO 7 standard Class 10000). • To undertake other related duties to meet the needs of the Vacuum Group.
