Freight Forwarder
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £35,000
We are working with a leading logistics provider who are seeking a Freight Forwarder to join their growing team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven experience in freight operations to further develop their career with a highly respected business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate freight shipments (both full and part loads).
* Source, negotiate, and liaise with carriers and subcontractors to ensure competitive rates and service levels.
* Oversee the end-to-end process, ensuring shipments are delivered on time and to customer requirements.
* Prepare and manage relevant freight documentation and customs requirements.
* Track and monitor consignments, resolving any issues proactively.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in freight forwarding is essential.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and MS Office applications.
