Temporary HR and Compliance Administrator, Scunthorpe
A very successful manufacturing business in the Scunthorpe area is looking for an Administrator for a period of 6 months (possibly longer).
Your new role
Do you want to work in a friendly environment within a busy business? This is a newly created position for an experienced administrator to support the HR Manager and Executive Assistant to the MD. This initial 6-month role may be extended or become permanent.
You will support compliance (especially Health & Safety) and HR matters.
Key duties and responsibilities - HR
* Administrative support for HR activities, including onboarding, leavers, job descriptions, holidays, sickness, and attendance
* Assist with induction processes, ensuring checks on eligibility for work, references, and other verifications
* Coordinate with departmental heads for effective induction plans
* Support staff training and development initiatives
* Maintain training records and assist with software updates
* Update HR software records
Key duties and responsibilities - Compliance
* Support in setting up SharePoint for H&S records
* Ensure H&S records are accurate and properly formatted
* Compile statistics for reports and presentations
* Take minutes at H&S meetings and distribute action logs
Skills required include building relationships across all levels, a background in compliance (preferably with knowledge of Health & Safety standards such as ISO9001, 14001 & 45001), and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
What you'll need to succeed
You must handle confidential information discreetly and have a keen eye for detail. Experience in a similar role and ability to foster relationships across departments are essential. Knowledge of Health & Safety standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
