Commercial Strategy & Strategic Initiatives Manager
Commercial Strategy & Strategic Initiatives Manager sought by a global sports powerhouse, with offices in Manchester, to play a key role in supporting the Business Development function through the development of commercial cases for new business initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded Manager/Consultant to join a globally-recognised sports organisation, in an important role that will continue to drive growth across the commercial function of the business.
The ideal candidate will be both strategic & commercially-minded, with the ability to develop compelling business cases to drive growth across Commercial, Hospitality & Partnership Activation.
Day-to-Day:
* Oversee and align cross-functional efforts across domestic and international teams to deliver on high-impact initiatives
* Drive business growth by developing strong commercial models and investment cases for new opportunities and partnerships
* Lead comprehensive research into market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes across UK and global markets
* Develop high-quality presentations, proposals, and reports to support new business pitches, partnership discussions, and internal strategy work
Key Skills/Experience:
* Extensive experience within the sports industry, with demonstrable experience working within a commercially-focussed role
* Sharp commercial instincts and analytical strength, paired with clear, structured thinking and communication
* Self-motivated and adaptable, able to pick up new concepts quickly and form sound, evidence-based judgments
* Approachable and team-oriented, with a history of cultivating effective relationships across internal stakeholders and external collaborators
* Open-minded and receptive to feedback, with a proactive mindset toward personal and professional development
* Experienced in thriving under pressure, maintaining high performance and attention to detail in fast-moving environments
