We are seeking experienced Senior and Principal Mechanical Engineers to join a major project team in Plymouth. The role involves leading and delivering engineering solutions for various technical design packages.

Role Location:
While some work can be remote due to flexible practices, this role is primarily site-based in Plymouth for developing technical information and engaging with teams. Expenses for travel and accommodation will be covered. Local candidates or those willing to relocate can utilize AtkinsRéalis offices in the South-West and our flexible working policy.
Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering resource in delivering technical design packages.
* Provide engineering solutions for large-scale projects.
* Follow relevant standards and produce high-quality designs.
* Collaborate with UK and international teams for integrated solutions.
* Create technical deliverables and engage with clients.
* Prepare briefs, scopes, and develop proposals.
* Manage internal resources and project budgets.
* Coordinate with specialists, suppliers, and manufacturers.
* Review design practices and participate in meetings.
Requirements:
* Experience with dockyard or MOD design preferred.
* Qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Proficiency with technical software and calculation tools.
* Flexible, proactive, and responsible attitude.
* Working towards or holding professional registration (CEng, MCIBSE, or equivalent).
