JOB TITLE: Lead Solution Architect

SALARY: £90,440 - £106,400

LOCATION: Bristol

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Bristol office.

About this opportunity…

This Lead Solution Architect role sits within the Strategic ledger & Controls Lab and will focus on Group Ledger Cluster. You’ll play a key part in the delivery of high-quality solution designs, working closely with a wide community of change colleagues. You’ll be involved in coaching, continually challenging, motivating, mentoring, and supporting your team. Specialising in design & architecture, this role will be instrumental in delivering Finance’s agenda for change in a coherent, innovative, and collaborative manner.

What you’ll do…

1. Solution design and technology integration across GCP and Oracle Technologies, aligned with Enterprise Architecture and Business Design strategy.

2. Manage a complex set of constraints and opportunities to create and maintain a blueprint for organising and communicating the Finance technology change agenda.

3. Promote the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud computing, Agile ways of working.

4. Act as an advocate for technology design and governance

5. Delivering engineering design outputs, such as Minimum Viable Designs & architecture decisions via formal governance processes.

What you’ll need…

Professional Experience:

6. 5+ years in either Software Engineering design, or Solution Design/Architecture

7. Experience in shaping and executing design change across complex operational and technology environments

Technical Skills:

8. PaaS, SaaS

9. Oracle Database, SQL Server

10. TWS, API Connect

11. Oracle Fusion

12. Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Technical knowledge in:

13. Database management

14. Data integration

15. Cloud/SaaS integration

16. Cybersecurity

17. Authentication

Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and tools including:

18. Git

19. Jenkins

20. Urbancode

21. Docker
