Role – Project Manager (Construction) - Non IT
Location – Glasgow, Scotland
Mint Selection are working with a leading renewable energy developer seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a portfolio of large-scale energy transition projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for a proven Project Manager with a strong background in utility-scale renewable generation, energy storage, or major infrastructure, capable of leading third-party EPCs, OEMs, and ICPs through all stages of project delivery from pre-construction to commercial operation.
Scope of Work:
* Take full ownership of project delivery from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring compliance with HSE, quality, and programme requirements.
* Lead and coordinate EPC, OEM, and ICP contractors on behalf of the asset owner, maintaining control over cost, schedule, and performance.
* Oversee all site-based construction activities, ensuring strict adherence to CDM regulations, NEC contract frameworks, and company procedures.
* Proactively identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation measures to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
* Serve as the key interface between contractors, consultants, grid operators, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
* Manage project reporting, scheduling, and cost forecasting, ensuring accuracy and transparency at all times.
* Support tendering, contract negotiation, and contract administration processes throughout the construction lifecycle.
* Lead site inspections, quality assurance, and commissioning activities to ensure zero-defect handover.
* Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all works in line with company and legislative standards.
Requirements:
* Proven track record delivering infrastructure or renewable energy projects from pre-construction through to commissioning.
* Strong experience managing NEC contracts and third-party contractors.
* Background in client-side or hybrid client/contractor project delivery environments.
* Experience managing DNO or transmission-connected projects and coordinating with local councils and grid operators.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Competent in project budgeting, risk management, and progress reporting.
This is a 6-month contract outside IR35 with a full-time office requirement of 5 days per week in Glasgow.
