Responsibilities
The role of our Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineeris to ensure that building services systems are, will be or have been commissioned properly and in accordance with the relevant requirements.
1. Ensuring that our commitments to our clients are met on time and to the required level of detail and quality
2. Validating the mechanical commissioning process and ensuring that the results achieved are in line with requirements
3. Inspecting existing systems to determine their performance
4. Advise on mechanical commissioning and performance requirements, commissioning strategies, programs, scopes of work and the like
5. Carrying out measurements, surveys and other technical inspections
6. Collaborate with other members of the organization to improve existing systems and procedures
7. Acting as a champion in an area of particular technical interest
8. Promote the company and the whole group through marketing activities
9. Forward planning of equipment required for testing
10. Assisting in the preparation of tender documents
11. Accurate completion of timesheets on a weekly basis
12. Proactively assisting other staff in the performance of their work
Responsibilities
13. Acting safely at all times in accordance with the company's health and safety policies and procedures
14. Work diligently, efficiently and professionally at all times
15. Ensuring technical compliance and high quality production of our products
16. Working closely with the main contractor's team to develop commissioning strategies and processes that fully meet the project objectives
17. Fully adopt the company's project and internal management systems
18. Maintain a keen awareness of project finances and control of related expenditure
19. Attend meetings as required
20. Produce internal and client reports that include technical, commercial and programmatic aspects
21. Technical commentary on drawings, manuals and technical submissions
22. Awareness and internal reporting of project scope changes
23. Working with other members of a professional team to assess progress, difficulties and costs
24. Perform hands-on commissioning work as required #LI-MW4
Preferred Qualifications
25. BEng Mechanical Engineering with Building Services.
26. Considerable experience will be sought to demonstrate project management skills.
27. Member of CIBSE, ASHRAE or equivalent professional qualifications an advantage.
28. At least 5 years of experience in a commissioning engineer role in a building orientated company in the building types Data Centers, Commercial, Residential, Life Science or Health Care.
29. Worked within company Quality & Environmental policies and procedures.
30. IT Literate – MS Office package.

Required Qualifications
31. Must be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needs
32. Must be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, the T&B process, etc
33. Must have good computer skills and effective typing skills
34. Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project software
35. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
36. Be familiar with the organization of design documents, the preparation of the multidiscipline designs, and the delivery of the design & construction services
37. Strong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operations
38. Understanding of project accounting and financial management tools
39. Ability to prioritize and organize work; ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
