Project Accountant

Based in Havant (hybrid)
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum plus bonus and study support

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Project Accountant to join a leading construction business in the Havant area on a permanent basis.
The Project Accountant will report to the Project Controller and support the management of the finance function for a large, complex project. You will be responsible for reporting on project financial performance and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making across the business.
Your duties will include:
* Monitor and report on Financial Forecasts, scenario analysis and updates on project progress and completion
* Prepare and submit periodic financial reports and budget control reports
* Prepare the cash flow forecasting and financial position of the project
* Serves as a point of contact for pricing, cost control, planning/scheduling and risk analysis
* Provides support during the financial audit process
* Month-end reporting
* Supports project reviews and senior level meetings to manage performance and delivery
* Effectively communicates with Stakeholders across the Business/Joint Venture parties’ in-house teams and with clients on project controls issues
Key requirements:
* Experience of working in a management or project accounting role is essential
* Ideally you will have a construction background or experience of working within a project environment
* Strong Excel skills
