Area Sales Manager – Water Technologies – Europe Central South, Middle East Africa

Location: Water Technologies offices, Lane End, High Wycombe, with frequent international travel.

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday – Friday, 37 hours.

Role Overview:

* Drive regional sales growth plan and provide market insights and product feedback to the Water Technologies Science & Healthcare Teams.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans for each business unit to consistently exceed target sales metrics (KPIs).
* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, generate leads and focus on key accounts to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
* Collaborate with all stakeholders to set ambitious growth targets and implement high-impact strategies.

How you will achieve this:

* Engage and influence clients at all levels, building strong, long-term relationships.
* Craft compelling business proposals, sales plans and contracts in collaboration with Water Technologies – S&H teams.
* Lead and develop regular customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and drive long-term success.
* Stay ahead of the competition by monitoring market trends and identifying new growth opportunities.

Qualifications

* Understanding of laboratory instrumentation workflows and key drivers.
* Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce advantage).
* Knowledge of business metrics (bookings, revenue, margins).
* Proven experience in sales forecasting.
* Strong sales hunting and account management skills.
* Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Experience managing third‑party channels and global accounts.
* Presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
* Expertise in strategic sales planning and business development.
* Experience working in international markets.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration across regional and national teams.
* Ability to secure and manage high-value international deals.

Skills and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field or sales (Master’s / MBA preferred).
* Extensive sales experience in the scientific / lab equipment industry (up to 8 years).
* Strong technical knowledge of pure water principles and the ELGA product range.
* Proficiency in Google Suite.
* Business‑conscious and commercially astute.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.
