Responsibilities* Hold overall responsibility for the management, leadership, and direction of a 6-bed children’s home in the Gravesend/Rochester area, with support from the Responsible Individual.* Ensure the highest standards of care and performance, aiming for excellent support and positive outcomes for young people.* Take the operational lead on all safeguarding matters within the home.* Oversee training, supervision, and provide advice to support staff.* Lead the development of the Children’s Home, ensuring a nurturing and positive environment for children.* Go above and beyond to ensure children have a positive childhood experience that supports their development into adulthood.Key Requirements* Significant experience working in a residential childcare setting.* Previous management or supervisory experience in a similar environment.* Commitment to delivering high-quality care in line with OFSTED regulations.* Experience with the regulatory inspection process and achieving quality ratings.* Good understanding of SCCIF (Social Care Common Inspection Framework) guidelines.* In-depth knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), learning disabilities, and complex/challenging behaviour needs of young people.* Current UK Driving License.* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) is essential, or willingness to complete it if not already held.* Ideally, previous experience as a Registered Manager documented on Ofsted reports.Rewards & Benefits* Salary range: £50,000 – £60,000.* Generous bonus scheme (available once registered with Ofsted).* 32 days annual leave (including some bank holidays).* NEST pension scheme.* Access to further professional development opportunities.Job Type: Full-timePay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Company pension* On-site parking* Sick payExperience:* Care home: 2 years (required)* Ofsted: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:* Leadership and Management for Residential Care Level 5 (required)Work Location: In person
