Job Description:
Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and must hold British Nationality as their sole / primary nationality.
Working: The role offers flexible working but does require engineers on site for 3 days per week at a secure site where SC clearance is needed.
The Stress Engineers will collaborate closely across multi-disciplinary teams to develop the mechanical solution. They will join a team responsible for structural and thermal performance within the business, delivering expertise across the product lifecycle, from early concept studies to in-service support.
The team provides opportunities to gain experience in various structural analysis disciplines, including classical hand calculations, CAE modelling (Static, Dynamic, Fatigue, Aeroelastics, Non-Linear, Impact, Kinematic), Qualification & Design Testing, Fault Investigation & Loads Derivation.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering/science discipline or significant experience in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis).
* Experience in assessing structures (e.g., aerospace) using classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable).
* Experience in estimating, planning, leading, and delivering structural analysis work packages, possibly under supervision.
* Ability to prepare and present technical reports, conveying complex findings and recommendations.
* Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes, and tools.
* Self-motivated problem solvers capable of working independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent verbal communication skills for networking and collaboration with stakeholders.
