The Company
Our client is a market leading organisation who has seen their turnover quadruple over the last 5 years! They are well established international manufacturing business. Due to this exceptional growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Manager to join them.
The Brand Manager role has the responsibility for leading the brand to deliver strong performance, develop NPD's, build brand awareness and achieve commercial targets. The role is a pivitol role within the company and is aimed at delivering brand growth and expansion as well as shorter-term initiatives to fuel commercial delivery.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Identify and develop new growth opportunities for the brand, build the brand awareness distinctiveness and innovation pipelines together with the Sales and Marketing Director.
* Take ownership for brand sales, profit and market share performance. Ensuring continued drive to hit targets and highlight risks and opportunities as they present themselves.
* Be the person to make it happen with customers, inspire the buyers in major retailers to list your products, working with category marketing to make persuasive selling stories and trade rationale.
* Partner with international distributors for your brand, inspire them to build the brand with you and listen to the needs and opportunities their markets have.
* Ensure the brand is set up to succeed in digital channels and that the communications plan online is set up to achieve brand objectives.
* To develop NPD'S and be the project lead for key activities, engaging the senior management team and using the stage gate process. Build robust go to market plans, owning the P & L, trade story, consumer rationale.
* Follow the industry trends and seize opportunities.
* Enhance the profitability for your brands, enhancing the margin mix with the right products and manage the costs of goods challenges when they emerge.
Brand Manager experience:
* Previous experience of working in brand management is essential
* Experience working in an FMCG business is essential
* Experience in people management, leading and developing a team is desirable
* High level of numeracy, comfortable looking at category data and brand financials
* Demonstrated ability to shape the strategic comms agenda and to drive the brand with pace and agility in a highly competitive marketplace is essential
* MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Advanced level Excel is essential
* Working collaboratively with stakeholders at various levels is essential
