Who You Are The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with either a qualified Accounting Technician status or part-qualified status in CCAB (such as CIPFA, ACA, ACCA) or CIMA, or suitably qualified by experience. You should have comprehensive experience in management and/or financial accounting beyond a basic level, and preferably within the public or third sector. What the Job Involves As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in an Operational Finance Team, offering full financial support and guidance to a Council Directorate or through cross-cutting capital and transformation projects. This role involves handling high volumes of financial data, managing budgets, accounting, budgetary control, forecasting, and advising budget holders and non-financial stakeholders. You will support the council's medium-term financial forecast (MTFF) and the development of strategic financial plans. Responsibilities also include assisting in service planning, development, and ensuring adherence to Financial Regulations and Standing Orders.
