About The Role As the Welding Technical Manager you will be responsible for organisation of the Welding department and managing all aspects of Welding Engineering from tender review to delivery. You will be responsible but not limited to the following; Responsible for the Monitoring and production of the Welding department deliverables. Responsible for Maintaining the welder qualifications. Responsible for all fabrication Quality/Welding information for each customer contract. Responsible for conducting the technical review of the Fabrication Quality Plans prior to issue to contracts. Responsible for Monitoring aspects of quality control systems and records within the fabrication department; including maintaining and developing department work instructions, standard operations, method statements etc. Producing and maintaining Company Weld-maps, WPS and PQR documentation for ASME and EN standards; including supervising, monitoring and documenting new welding procedure qualifications (WPQR). Responsibility for the control of calibration/validation/servicing of welding equipment. Continuous improvements in equipment and process, running trials and proving new methods (R&D). Collate weld failures and produce accurate data analysis. Communicate effectively with the applicable Fabrication Manager and Welding Technical team to implement corrective training / refresher training. Ideally you will posses 10 years of experience in welding co-ordination and quality control in a fabrication shop environment. Experience of interpreting and implementing ASME & EN ISO welding codes and standards. Welding safety standards and implementation of effective health, safety, and environmental cultures. Good communication skills and the ability to interpret fabrication and engineering drawings. About You About Us Not Specified
